We have exciting news!! Richard is now a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist. 🥳🎉

As you may know, Neuromuscular Therapy training is a very long and arduous process, taking therapists on average 2 1/2 to 3 years to complete and sit for their Certification exam. Neuromuscular Certification is the academic-knowledge equivalent of a Master’s or Doctorate degree in the massage therapy world.

We extend a huge congratulations to him for all of his hard work and dedication to this achievement! We are SO proud!! 🤩

* Improve movement efficiency and biomechanics, leading to better performance outcomes
* Enhance proprioception and coordination, especially valuable in high-impact or multidirectional sports

📣Neuromuscular Therapy for Sciatic pain 📣

Your sciatic nerve, which extends from your lumbar and sacral spine to your feet, can become pinched and cause pain. As you might guess, this is very uncomfortable, and symptoms can include pain in your lower back, hips, buttocks, legs. Some may even experience pain all the way down to the feet and toes, making it difficult to stand or walk. It’s estimated that up to 40% of people may experience sciatica at some point in their lives, and some may have chronic sciatica flare-ups.

Nonetheless, massage therapy has numerous advantages for people who suffer from chronic sciatica flare-ups or require assistance in decreasing the pain of new-onset sciatic pain. At the Studio, we see many clients with sciatic pain and treat them with Neuromuscular Massage Therapy.

Neuromuscular Therapy is a type of specific medical massage that manipulates the soft tissues around the spine and reduces muscle spasms that may be associated with and contributing to sciatica. Neuromuscular therapy can also help treat postural problems, poor circulation, nerve compression, and trigger points secondarily related to sciatic pain.

Oncology Massage is an all-encompassing method of treating patients with a cancer diagnosis that includes careful evaluation and modifications by the massage therapist to ensure the safety and comfort of the therapy. Common massage techniques like Swedish, Myofascial Release, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage may be used to facilitate healing and ease the adverse effects of cancer-related treatment. A softer touch is used during the treatment to assist the patient in re-establishing a compassionate, positive connection with their body. Additional gentle techniques that target oncology-specific issues, such as decreased range of motion or cording from radiation or surgery, may be used throughout the session.

Every oncology massage session is tailored to each client’s specific objectives while they are adapting to the cumulative effects of cancer treatment on their body. Professionals with Oncology Massage training are aware of the progression of cancer, the immediate and long-term adverse effects of treatments, and the potential for psychological and physical consequences from those treatments.

Whether a patient is undergoing treatment, recuperating, or using massage to stay healthy years later, an Oncology Massage can be a fantastic addition to a care plan.

Benefits of Oncology Massage:

    Improved quality of life
    Reduced anxiety
    Pain management
    Improved quality of sleep
    Reduced fatigue
    Supported rehabilitation and recovery
    Improved body awareness and image
    Supported lymphatic system

Want to book?

Are you or a loved one interested in receiving an Oncology Massage? This form of therapy can be beneficial for supporting you or your loved one during this journey in life. **Please keep in mind that those currently receiving chemotherapy need to wait 3 days after treatment, and those who receive radiation therapy need to wait for 4 days after treatment, for an Oncology Massage.

❓What is CranioSacral Therapy (CST)?

The Craniosacral System, which is made up of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that envelop and shield the brain and spinal cord, is a physiological body system that can be assessed and improved via the use of gentle, hands-on techniques known as Craniosacral therapy. Practitioners release restrictions in the Craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system as well as many other systems of the body, including the digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. This treatment is done fully clothed and uses a gentle touch that is typically no more than 5 grams, or roughly the weight of a nickel (Upledger Institute, 2025).

Conditions CST treats:
    ⁃    Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
    ⁃    Depression
    ⁃    Anxiety
    ⁃    Migraines, Headaches
    ⁃    Chronic Fatigue
    ⁃    Autism and Sensoring Processing
    ⁃    Insomnia
    ⁃    Joint pain
    ⁃    Tinnitus
    ⁃    Post-Concussion Syndrome
    ⁃    Fibromyalgia
    ⁃    Chronic Pain

📢 Studio update!

Earlier this month, Stephanie attended the CS2: CranioSacral Therapy 2 training in Sedona. This seminar explored beyond the dura for assessing acute and chronic conditions.

Stephanie can now incorporate this expanded knowledge into her CST sessions to help her clients have a better quality of life.
