Our Story

We are an Adult and Adolescent Internal Medicine/Primary Care practice. We are staffed by an Ivy League trained, board certified Internist, Dr. Shah, and a board certified PA, Kayla Shelley. Together, Dr. Shah and Kayla have over 30 years of clinical experience! We are conveniently located just off of the Baseline Road and Highway 101 intersection, making for easy accessibility for the residents of Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, and Gilbert. We believe that an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure and work closely with our patients to make sure that we are not only treating their acute illnesses (sinusitis, bronchitis, sprains, etc.) but also working aggressively to prevent and to manage chronic diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure so that our patients maximize the chance of living longer and living better. Dr. Shah and Kayla are also strong proponents of an integrative approach to primary care. So non-conventional therapies like IV vitamin therapies and the use of bio-identical hormones to promote regenerative medicine and anti-aging are embraced in our office. Additionally, Dr. Shah is passionate about the impact of human gut microbiota on human health. He lectures on this subject regularly at our medical campus in Tempe, Arizona as well as across the world. All the while, the emphasis at Primacare, Inc. is on excellent, authentic communication with our patients to empower each of them to lead full, healthy lives. While there is a trend across healthcare to view patients as “customers” and healthcare providers as “technicians”, we at Primacare stand proud in the conviction that medicine is a calling and the relationship between a healthcare provider and her patient is a sacred covenant! We are accepting New Patients and offer same day visits.
