November is Homeless Awareness Month.

Did you know that keeping people in institutions costs taxpayers significantly more than providing stable housing? Look at the average monthly costs:
• Jail: $3,207 per month
• Residential Treatment: $6,457 per month
• Housing Supplement: $1,134 per month

We can't solve homelessness by putting everyone in institutions. Attainable housing is the smart, cost-effective, and compassionate solution.
