Black trans women deserve more than performative allyship.
They deserve clinicians who are informed, prepared, affirming, and willing to do the work.
Real and Radical Allyship: How Clinicians Can Address the Mental Health Needs of Black Trans Women and Save Lives is a continuing education training for social workers who want to move beyond surface-level inclusion and provide care that is clinically sound, culturally responsive, and deeply affirming.
This training explores systemic violence, trauma, stigma, clinical invisibility, and barriers to affirming care while challenging social workers to examine their own practice and develop concrete ways to show up with skill, compassion, and accountability.
The training will be offered through For Us 2 Connect in both asynchronous and live formats.
First live training:
Thursday, June 11, 2026
12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
2 CE credits available for social workers through CSWE
Affirming care can be lifesaving care.
Social workers, please share this training with your colleagues, classmates, agencies, departments, and professional networks. The more clinicians we can reach, the more we can strengthen affirming and accountable care for Black trans women.
