🌟 Calling All Local Troops & Schools! 🌟

Did you know Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home offers educational tours for Girl Scouts, Scouts of America, and school groups?

A visit to the funeral home is a meaningful way for older scouts or teens to learn about service, community care, and careers they may have never considered. Our directors are happy to talk about:

🔹 What a funeral director actually does
🔹 How we support families through planning and grief
🔹 The teamwork involved behind the scenes
🔹 How we honor different cultures, beliefs, and traditions
🔹 The importance of compassion and professionalism in our work

Scouts can even connect this experience to badge requirements related to community service, life skills, career exploration, or learning about local helpers.

📊 Funeral Service Fun Facts
(Perfect for career-minded teens!)

• The field is becoming more diverse — today, over 65% of mortuary school students are women, even though the workforce is still majority male.

• Many funeral directors enter the profession later in life, but we’re also seeing more young adults choosing it as their first career.

• Funeral service blends science, counseling, ceremony, and community outreach — making it a great fit for students with empathy and leadership skills.

If your troop leader, teacher, or school counselor would like to schedule a tour or have one of our directors speak at a meeting or classroom, we’d love to help!

📞 Send us a message or give us a call — we’re proud to support learning, curiosity, and future community leaders.

🦅 THE BIRDS DID IT AGAIN! 🦅

If you heard yelling echo across Berks County last night, don’t worry — it was just every Eagles fan losing their minds (and possibly scaring their pets). 💚😂

One thing about Philly fans? We stay loyal through every nail-biter, every questionable call, and every victory dance in the living room. And honestly… that passion does not stop at the pearly gates.

For our die-hard Birds fans, we’re always happy to add a little Eagles chaos to a service — jerseys, “Fly Eagles Fly,” green everything, the whole nine yards. If they screamed at the TV their entire life, they deserve a send-off that matches that energy. 🏈🔥

Celebrating last night’s win and sending good vibes into next week.
GOOO BIRDS! 💚🦅💚

🌌 Northern Lights Over the Coast & Home

Last night, our owner Sam was sent these incredible photos of the northern lights from her home in Ocean City, Maryland — and it looks like we may even get another glimpse here in Berks County tonight!

It’s not often we get to see something this far south, and even if you can’t spot them easily with the naked eye, try using your phone or camera — sometimes the lens picks up colors our eyes can’t see. 💫

If skies stay clear, take a moment to step outside, look north, and see what you can capture. Nature has a way of surprising us when we take the time to look up.
