Hello everyone!! Today I’m going to share a health tip with you. Have any of you ever dry brushed? Some of you are saying what?🤣 Well, dry brushing is good to get your lymph moving.
What is lymph?
Your lymphatic system is like your body’s inner cleaning crew. It moves a clear fluid (lymph) that carries away toxins, cellular waste, and helps with immune function. Unlike blood, lymph doesn’t have a pump — it relies on muscle movement, breathing, and gentle external stimulation to keep flowing.
When you dry brush you use long, gentl strokes starting at your feet and moving upwards. Use several strokes as you work around your legs, clockwise on your abdomen, from your hands all the way up your arm. Gently stroke down the side of your neck. You always brush towards your heart.
It takes less than five minutes and you can do it first thing in the morning.
🪥 How dry brushing helps:
✅ Stimulates lymph flow just under the skin:
The light brushing motion can help move lymph toward lymph nodes, where it gets filtered. This supports the natural drainage process.
✅ Encourages circulation:
By increasing blood flow to the skin, it indirectly supports lymphatic movement.
✅ Helps reduce minor swelling or puffiness:
When lymph is stagnant, it can lead to slight fluid buildup. Gentle brushing can help it move along.
✅ Supports skin detox:
By exfoliating dead skin cells, pores stay clear, which complements the body’s waste elimination.
