• Referrals to local shelters, legal advocacy, and community partners
• Mental health services tailored to trauma recovery
• Ongoing care through Veterans Health Administration resources

Veterans deserve to live free from fear and harm. If you need support, or if you’re concerned about a fellow Veteran, reach out. You can also learn more about resources through VA’s national IPV (intimate partner violence) programs by visiting;
https://socialwork.va.gov/IPV/

🗣️ If in crisis now, please dial 988 (Veterans Crisis Line) and press 1, or visit www.veteranscrisisline.net.

📞 For non-emergent support, contact your local Central Texas VA social work or mental health team.

Meet Maxine Morris, today’s from your Central Texas Veterans Health Care System.

Originally from England, Maxine moved to the United States in 1995 and became a proud U.S. citizen in 2004. For more than a decade, she has been dedicated to helping Veterans rest easier as a Registered Sleep Technologist.

Each day, Maxine helps Veterans breathe better, sleep soundly, and wake up feeling refreshed. She issues and monitors CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) equipment, ensuring receive the greatest health benefits from their therapy. Through her compassion and expertise, Maxine helps those who once struggled with sleep finally find the rest they deserve.

In recognition of Respiratory Care & Sleep Technologist Appreciation Week, we celebrate Maxine and our entire Sleep Medicine team for who they are and what they do for our Veterans.

If you are a Veteran experiencing sleep issues, talk to your Primary Care Provider and ask for a referral.

“I want our Veterans to experience the best quality of sleep possible. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the remarkable improvements in those who receive care from Sleep Medicine.”
