A big THANK YOU to Julia Robledo with Aspen Hospice for spending time with our residents making edible playdough! Not only was it fun to mix & create, but it also brought back sweet memories of baking & being in the kitchen.

Activities like this are wonderful for encouraging creativity, sensory engagement & lots of laughter along the way. The best part… it was safe to taste! 😄

We are so grateful for friends like Julia & Aspen Hospice who bring joy, connection, &meaningful moments to our residents.❤️

One of the sweetest things about life in Assisted Living & Memory Care is the friendships that blossom along the way. 💛 Whether it’s sharing stories, enjoying a laugh, or simply sitting together in good company, these connections remind us that friendship has no age limit.

Every day brings new opportunities to meet someone special, brighten each other’s day, and create meaningful moments together. Because no matter our stage in life… friendship always matters.

For those living in assisted living or memory care, familiar activities can bring comfort, purpose & even JOY. These everyday motions often live deep in long-term memory, allowing residents to feel capable, useful & connected to who they’ve always been.

Simple tasks can calm anxiety, encourage movement, spark conversation, and most importantly, restore dignity. It’s not about the🧹chore — it’s about the feeling of belonging & contributing.

🎈❤️ A huge ‘thank you’ to our friend, Parris with New Century for bringing such a creative balloon tic-tac-toe game to Mercy House! 🎈❤️
Using pink & red balloons & brown baskets, our residents jumped right into the FUN with lots of laughter, cheering & friendly competition.

After some serious strategizing & playful rivalry, Mr. Wayne came out on top as our GRAND WINNER!🏆 Way to go, Mr. Wayne‼️
