It truly takes a village to welcome new life 🤍⁣

This image captures the heart of what birth can be—connection, trust, and unwavering support. A laboring mother, immersed in her birth tub, holding hands with her husband and her midwife as she journeys through a powerful VBAC. Just outside the frame but deeply present are her birth assistant and her doula—steady, intuitive, and essential parts of this sacred team.⁣

VBACs are not just about the physical process of birth; they are about healing, reclaiming autonomy, and being surrounded by people who believe in you. When a birthing person is held—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—magic happens.⁣

Birth is never meant to be done alone. Whether it’s your partner, midwife, birth assistant, doula, or loved ones, building a team rooted in trust and respect changes everything. Together, we hold space, offer strength, and walk alongside families as they welcome life in the most profound way. 💧✨⁣

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the families currently in my care—so many familiar faces, repeat families, and incredible people. It is truly an honor to continue walking alongside you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Supporting you is the reason I do this work.⁣

I’m excited to share that Gea Midwifery is now welcoming families with September 2026 due dates and beyond ✨⁣

There is something so special about opening space for new families while continuing to nurture the deep relationships already woven into this practice.⁣

Thank you to every family who trusts me with such sacred moments. I am deeply thrilled for the journeys unfolding right now and equally excited for the ones just beginning. ⁣

Here’s to another year of intentional, connected, midwifery care 🤍

Self care is not selfish ⁣

As a licensed midwife and practice manager, I see how often parents put themselves last—especially during pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and motherhood. This affirmation is a gentle reminder that caring for yourself is an essential part of caring for your baby.⁣

🌸 In pregnancy, self-care looks like rest, nourishment, boundaries, and listening to your body as it changes and grows life.⁣

🌸 In labor and birth, self-care is trusting your instincts, honoring your needs, and creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered.⁣

🌸 In postpartum, self-care is allowing yourself to heal, accepting help, sleeping when you can, and tending to your emotional well-being.⁣

🌸 In motherhood, self-care becomes modeling balance, self-respect, and compassion—for yourself and for your children.⁣

Self-care isn’t indulgent. It isn’t optional. It’s foundational. When you are supported, nourished, and cared for, you are better able to show up with presence, patience, and love. 💕⁣

Let this affirmation be permission: to slow down, to ask for help, to rest without guilt, and to remember that you matter too. Caring for yourself is part of the work—beautiful, necessary work. 🌿✨⁣

Five years ago today, you made me a mother for the last time.⁣

Adilynn, my youngest, my final baby — your birth closed one chapter and opened another I didn’t yet know how to name. From a midwife’s lens, I understand endings as deeply as beginnings. I know how sacred the last can be. And your arrival held that quiet, holy weight.⁣

I’ve attended so many births, witnessed the miracle again and again — but carrying and birthing you, knowing you were my last, asked me to be fully present in a way that felt almost suspended in time. Every sensation, every breath, every moment mattered. I soaked you in. I soaked us in.⁣

Your birth taught me about completion. About trusting that fullness can exist without loss. About honoring the final unfolding just as much as the first. You softened me, steadied me, and reminded me that the body — and the heart — always know when a story is whole.⁣

At five, you are tender and fierce, intuitive and wild, deeply feeling and deeply loved. You are the punctuation mark at the end of my childbearing years — not an ending, but a beautiful period that lets the sentence breathe.⁣

Happy 5th birthday, my sweet Adilynn.⁣
Thank you for choosing me as your mama.⁣
Thank you for being my last, and forever my love.⁣

As I graduate this year and gently change my lens, I’m pausing in gratitude.⁣

Gratitude for pregnancy—⁣
for the quiet beginnings, the stretching, the surrender, the deep wisdom of bodies growing life.⁣

Gratitude for birth—⁣
for the power, the vulnerability, the trust, and the moments where time seems to stand still as families meet one another anew.⁣

Gratitude for postpartum—⁣
for the soft landings, the rawness, the healing, the becoming. For the strength it takes to rest, to ask for help, to find your rhythm again.⁣

Gratitude for family—⁣
for the way love expands, rearranges, and roots itself deeper with each season.⁣

As a midwife, I am endlessly grateful.⁣
Grateful for the trust placed in my hands and heart.⁣
Grateful for every family who invited me into their most intimate moments.⁣

Grateful for late nights, deep breaths, tears, laughter, tubs filled with water and rooms filled with love. Each birth this year has left its mark on me, shaping who I am and how I serve.⁣

On this New Year’s Eve, I honor all that has been—⁣
the lessons, the growth, the challenges, the beauty.⁣

And I welcome all that is coming—⁣
with an open heart, a softened gaze, and deep gratitude for the future unfolding ahead.⁣

Looking back on 2025 with so much gratitude 🤍⁣

One of those moments where time slows, instincts sharpen, and closeness matters. Standing in the birth tub with this beautiful repeat family, gently unwrapping a snug nuchal cord, reminded me exactly why I do this work. Birth is intimate, powerful, and sometimes requires us to be right there—heart to heart, hands steady, fully present.⁣

There is nothing more special than walking alongside families through their journeys, and it becomes even sweeter when they invite me back again. To be welcomed into your homes, your sacred spaces, and your growing families—again and again—is an honor I never take lightly. Repeat families hold a deep kind of trust, and I am endlessly grateful for it.⁣

Home birth with a licensed midwife is rooted in safety, skill, and relationship. It is about knowing when to step in (literally), when to hold space, and how to support the full arc of pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and beyond. It’s about honoring physiology while being prepared, attentive, and grounded in evidence-based care.⁣

2025 reminded me just how incredible families are. How strong birthing parents are. How tender and transformative these moments can be. And how deeply meaningful it is to witness love expand as families grow even bigger.⁣

Forever thankful for the tubs, the trust, the pool parties, and the privilege of doing this work 🤍 💦

Merry Christmas 🤍🎄🎁✨⁣

Laboring through Christmas Eve and into Christmas Day—soft lights glowing, steady breaths, time stretching in that quiet, powerful way that only birth can. While the world celebrated and slept, this family labored with strength, patience, and so much love, crossing from one day into the next as they prepared to meet their baby.⁣

There is something especially sacred about birth on these nights. The waiting. The trust. The gentle unfolding. Sitting with families during moments like this—when holidays blur and what matters most comes into focus—is a reminder that birth doesn’t follow a schedule or plan, and love always shows up right on time.⁣

As Christmas morning arrived and I’m turned into the afternoon, the room was filled with anticipation, connection, and the kind of magic you can’t wrap or place under a tree. Just presence, support, and the incredible power of a family growing. A beautiful and unexpected perfect holiday team. ⁣

Sending deep gratitude to the families who invite me into their homes and hearts—on ordinary days and holy ones alike. Merry Christmas ✨🤍⁣

✨ 🩵 🌊 🩵 ✨ ⁣

Like the ocean, pregnancy, birth, and motherhood move in cycles.⁣

There are moments of stillness, moments of intensity, and moments where you’re asked to surrender to the pull and trust your body’s wisdom. ⁣

Each wave comes, crests, and recedes—making space for what comes next.⁣

The winter solstice marks the longest night of the year, a turning point where the darkness pauses and the light slowly begins to return. It’s a reminder that even in the deepest, quietest seasons, something is shifting. Growth is happening beneath the surface.⁣

Whether you’re growing a baby, birthing something new, or learning how to mother in a different season—honor the ebb and flow. ⁣

You are not meant to stay in one tide forever.⁣

Reminiscing on this incredible birth and family. ⁣

Under the soft glow of Christmas lights, in the warmth of their own home, a mother labors in the birth tub—just moments away from meeting her second daughter. ✨⁣

Surrounded by holiday magic, deep love, and familiar comforts, this birth was a beautiful reminder of what home birth and midwifery are truly about: presence, trust, and family.⁣

It was an honor to support this incredible family for the second time and witness their hearts expand as they welcomed new life—right where they belong. 🤍⁣

A Christmas birth, wrapped in peace, connection, and the quiet miracle of home.

You are allowed to outgrow what no longer fits. 🤍⁣

Families evolve. Bodies change. Identities expand.⁣
Pregnancy stretches you in ways you never imagined.⁣

Birth asks you to release control and trust something deeper.⁣

Postpartum reshapes your rhythms, your needs, your boundaries.⁣

What once felt right may no longer serve you—and that is not failure, it’s growth. You’re allowed to rest more, ask for help, say no, rewrite expectations, and choose what nurtures your family now. ⁣

Outgrowing is part of becoming. And every season of parenthood invites you to soften into who you are meant to be next. 🌿✨⁣

Across oceans, villages, cities, and birth rooms, this work continues to call me deeper. 🌍✨⁣

I’ve been honored to travel the globe offering midwifery education, support, and collaborative care—standing beside incredible midwives, students, families, and health-care providers who are doing the hard and holy work of improving maternal and infant outcomes in their own communities. From international conferences to hands-on trainings in rural clinics, every experience has shaped me, stretched me, and reminded me why I said yes to this path in the first place.⁣

And still, the calling grows.⁣
There is so much more to be done—stateside and around the world.⁣
So many systems to strengthen.⁣
So many midwives to uplift.⁣
So many families to serve with dignity, evidence-based care, and compassion.⁣

As I begin planning next year’s trips, my heart is filled with purpose and gratitude. This work is a privilege. A responsibility. A calling that continues to guide me, challenge me, and remind me that change is possible—one birth, one training, one community at a time.⁣

Here’s to continuing the work.⁣
To listening, learning, teaching, and serving.⁣
To showing up wherever I’m called—with open hands, an open heart, and deep respect.⁣

🌿 For mothers.⁣
🌿 For babies.⁣
🌿 For midwives.⁣
🌿 For the future we’re building together.⁣

India, you changed me. And I carry you with me everywhere I go. 🤍✨⁣

🍂✨ Autumn is here, and just like the seasons shift, so many families in our community are in a beautiful season of their own—awaiting the arrival of new life. My heart is so full knowing that this fall (and beyond!) our practice will be welcoming more little ones earthside, watching families grow, and holding space for incredible moments of strength, love, and transformation.⁣

To all the families in our care, and to those who will join us in the months to come—you are not alone on this journey. You are powerful, capable, and surrounded by support. Together, we’ll walk this path, through every contraction, every breath, and every joyful first cry.⁣

Here’s to cozy fall days, growing bellies, and all the new beginnings just around the corner. 🍁🧡
