In Patanjali’s yoga sutras, the second sutra is “yogaścittavrttinirodhah”✨
Chitta translates to mind + vritti as the minds roaming tendencies.
Yoga is the practice of stilling the roaming tendencies of the mind.
When you combine breath + movement you start to notice over time how focusing your mind on breathing and the pose you are in calms your mind and what you were thinking about.
