Today, we honor the life and legacy of Anna Westin. 🧡
Anna was a vibrant, caring young woman who lost her life to an eating disorder on February 17, 2000, at just 21 years old. In the wake of her passing, her family became tireless advocates—fighting for better treatment access, awareness, and policy change.
Because of Anna, lives have been saved. Because of the Westin family’s advocacy, eating disorders are now recognized as a federal health issue, and more people can access the care they deserve.
We remember Anna today and always, and we hold her family, friends, and all who loved her in our hearts. 🧡
🎙️ Hear from Anna’s mother, Kitty Westin, as she reflects on Anna’s story, the fight for better treatment access, and the passage of the first federal eating disorder legislation.
