Harsha Behavioral Center

Harsha Behavioral Center As a leading mental health facility in the state of Indiana, Harsha Behavioral Center is proud to call Terre Haute home.

Working as a team, we serve our community, towards a better tomorrow. We believe in cultivating an environment that is understanding, welcoming and thriving. Every patient that walks through our door is a priority, and their health and well-being, both physically and mentally, is handled with utmost care. As a quality psychiatric hospital, we challenge ourselves by taking on some of the most challenging cases. Often times, our patients are those who have been turned away from another mental health facility. We strive to break down the barriers and provide the essential care that our patients truly need and deserve. Established in 2008, Harsha Behavioral Center is a freestanding acute care psychiatric hospital. We have 81 beds for providing inpatient services to individuals needing 24-hour intensive psychiatric care. We serve children aged 3-12, adolescents aged 13-17, adults aged 18-54 and geriatrics aged 55 and older and have an average length of stay ranging from 5-10 days. Each age group is housed in a separate unit. We work to implement innovative technologies and develop new holistic therapies to improve mental health. Our modern approach is reflective in our state-of-the-art campus, where our patients, families, physicians and staff come together to offer the highest quality patient care in a safe and nurturing environment.
