The Wabash Valley Recovery Alliance had a great meeting yesterday at Recovery Corner Terre Haute.

The Alliance is a diverse coalition of volunteers from numerous walks of life. Our common goal? To identify and meet needs of individuals experiencing substance use disorder and mental health, as well as those of their familes.

We have some exciting plans of big events in the Wabash Valley this year!

Over the weekend, the women in our facility did something *amazing!* They all came together, collaborated, and planned an in-house Hickory Treatment Talent Show! We can’t show pictures, but to call the event a success would be a massive understatement!

Congratulations to the winning act, applause to all participants, and a huge thank you to our judges and event organizer! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE 😉

Our Executive Director Zac is honored to participate as a consultant for several Vigo County problem-solving courts, where he’s able to offer his perspective on addiction and recovery in the criminal justice system.

The teams who comprise these panels are dedicated to finding and enforcing creative and innovative opportunities for members of specific populations to grow and succeed. The goal is to equip niche offenders with the tools that they need to succeed while simultaneously creating mentors and role models who can break generational chains.

Dangerous weather is moving in. The Lotus Center has activated their temporary warming shelter at 2720 Elm Street in Terre Haute. Please share this and offer up any other resources you have that can help to prevent unnecessary deaths during this storm.
