This week, we hosted a Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Tasting — and it was such a fun treat for everyone!

Residents enjoyed sampling a variety of sweet chocolates, savory cheeses, and perfectly paired wines while sharing laughs and great conversation. The room was full of smiles, stories, and maybe even a few new favorite flavors!

We want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Old Glory Quilters of Parke County for coming to surprise our very own Earl with a beautiful, handmade quilt.

The ladies shared that they first heard Earl’s incredible story on the news and immediately set a goal to create something special for him. They said they don’t often get the opportunity to make quilts for WWII veterans, and they knew they had to honor him in this meaningful way.

When they met Earl, they said it felt like meeting a celebrity! ⭐ And to us, he truly is one.

Thank you for your time, your talent, and your hearts. You made Earl feel so loved, appreciated, and celebrated. This quilt will forever be a reminder of the gratitude and admiration our community has for him. 💙

This week, we are celebrating Cindy, our amazing receptionist here at Sycamore Manor! 💚

Cindy is often the first smiling face you see when you walk through our doors or call us on the phone. She greets everyone with warmth and kindness, making each resident, family member, and visitor feel right at home.

But that’s not all — Cindy is always a team player, ready to help wherever she’s needed. Lately, you might even catch her in the dining room helping as a server or cook! Her flexibility, dedication, and caring nature make our community stronger every single day. 🌟

These four made the day extra special with lots of laughs, great conversation, and of course plenty of delicious pizza! There’s just something about getting out, enjoying a meal together, and making sweet memories along the way.

Yesterday we celebrated Mardi Gras the sweetest way — with King Cake! 👑🎭

☕❤️ Coffee Bar + A Sweet Surprise for Our Veterans! ❤️☕

Saturday’s Valentine celebration at Sycamore Manor was extra special, thanks to our festive coffee bar and an unexpected treat for our Veterans!

Our residents enjoyed warm cups of coffee, delicious Valentine goodies, and wonderful fellowship — but the highlight of the day was a heartfelt surprise from the amazing VFW.

They stopped by to honor and treat our Veterans with special Valentine gifts, reminding them just how appreciated and loved they are. Seeing the smiles on their faces was truly priceless. ❤️

We are so grateful for community partners like the VFW who go out of their way to make our residents feel recognized and celebrated. Thank you for making our Veterans’ Day so meaningful!
