This past Saturday was a special day for Hospice of the Wabash Valley staff, volunteers, and the families we serve—it was our 10th Annual Butterfly Release. The Memorial Garden Gazebo at Deming Park was the perfect spot to come together and remember those we’ve cared for.

Kristina Allen, our Bereavement Coordinator, shared, “As I looked out over the crowd, I saw many faces showing grief, but what really stood out was hope—hope for brighter days ahead. Each butterfly lingered a little, giving families a special moment of remembrance before flying off into the fall sky.”

It was a morning full of remembrance, healing, and love. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us to honor their loved ones.

For over 20 years, Dr. Reddy has exemplified compassionate, patient-centered care through Illiana Internal Medicine in Terre Haute. As a dedicated mentor, he has guided countless medical students and residents, welcomed new physicians into the community, and steadfastly ensured access to exceptional healthcare for his patients. The Wheels for Compassion Car Show, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 27th, has been cancelled due to low sign-ups.

We appreciate the excitement and support we’ve received, and we’re already working on plans to reschedule the event for a future date.
