Prairie County Hospital District is a voluntary, not-for-profit, county owned institution, including the following:

Prairie County Clinic is a general medicine, family practice. We have 2 providers that see patients for general wellness exams, illnesses, chronic care, women's and men's health, Well child checks, DOT physicals, Sports physicals, cryosurgery, removal of sk

in lesions, lab tests, and an array of other clinical visits. To schedule an appointment or if you would like to inquire about other services offered, please call (406) 635-5863. Prairie Community Hospital exists to provide the best possible comprehensive and secondary care, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care with referral of every specialized secondary and tertiary care of other healthcare centers. Within the limits of it's resources, the Facility seeks to define and meet the health maintenance treatment and prevention health education needs of its service population. In an effort to provide high quality care in the most economic manner possible and to minimize duplication of services, the Facility will undertake planning and promotional endeavors. The Prairie Community Hospital is licensed as a 21 bed Critical Access Hospital.

Far Out and Waiting training happening May 12th at the Evelyn Cameron at 6 pm. This is put on by Montana Farmers Union and in partnership with the Prairie County Ambulance. Food will be served by the Happy Valley & Cougar Creek 4-H Clubs.

Prairie Community Hospital Foundation is looking for people interested in either serving on the Foundation Board or in a Volunteer position. The Foundation Board meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 4:30 pm at the Prairie County Hospital. The next meeting will be April 15th.

The Foundation Board is made up of a President, who runs the meetings, a Vice-President, in charge when the President is absent, Secretary, responsible for typing up the meeting minutes and agenda, and the Treasurer, responsible for the depositing of money, paying bills, etc.

The Volunteer positions would be helping with planning, coordinating and mailing out communication to donors. They would also help with various event planning, Thank You events to the Community, Co****le at Terry Yippee, and the Fall Fun for All.

We would like to let our community know that the Prairie County Clinic and the Prairie Community Hospital business office will be closed on Monday February 16th in observance of Presidents Day. We will reopen on Tuesday February 17th at 8 am.
