This weekend I was so lucky to hear from some pretty fantastic families at Big Easy Therapy 's Family Pride event. The loudest feedback was having in person events and ongoing youth and family support. I want to fill in gaps rather than provide redundant services, so I'm looking for more information from our community.

Therapist Nikole visited Mrs. Lerille's 2nd grade class at C.T. Janet Elementary on the Westbank today to talk about her job as a play therapist. She showed them quick ways to reset their body and minds when they are feeling stressed. The students were so clever and friendly! They had great questions and knew so many feeling words.

Do. Not. Stop.

I never thought I'd be so happy to pay a ridiculous fee to take a test. There were many times during the last 8 years since I earned my degree, I didn't think I'd ever get to take it at all.

As I registered for the test, it asked *this* nosey question and I was so bummed. "Wow, they don't even really need to know if it was 5 years or 8 years. Anything over 3 years is just the same."

Then I said to myself, "NO, MA'AM! I never stopped."

That's what 8 years between getting my MFT degree and taking the national test and hopefully being fully licensed in the not so distant future means. It means I never stopped.

DO. NOT. STOP.

Hi there! I'm glad you found my professional page as a provisional licensed marriage and family therapist. I am currently seeing couples, families, individuals, and children for therapy services. I see clients in person at Maison Vie: A Multi-therapeutic Family Service Agency as an independent contractor in Gretna, LA. I also work with clients all over Louisiana using telehealth services to provide teletherapy. I am supervised by Dr. Christian Dean, LPC-S, LMFT-S of Baton Rouge, LA.
