Our founding
Advance Housing, Inc. was started by a consortium of mental health providers in order to meet the growing need for supportive housing services.
In 1997, we opened our doors with funding from the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) to provide consumers an array of individualized support services coupled with affordable and normalizing living arrangements. Since then, the agency has received funding from various public and private sources and expanded its programs to individuals livinig with a mental illness throughout northern New Jersey.
