Focus on PRESENCE over PERFECTION

Ditch the idea that you need to be in a certain place or further along “by now.” Stop comparing yourself to others. Unless somebody inspires, you don’t waste your time.

The moments that you stay present are underrated!  By not ruminating about the past or worrying about the future, you are actively working on your own healing💛

It sounds harsh — and it is.
Because this work isn’t gentle. It asks you to look at the parts of yourself you’d rather ignore.
The anger that comes too quickly.The control that shows up when fear creeps in.The silence you learned to survive with.The wounds you carry from when you were small.

And if you don’t face them — not blame them, not hate them, but face them — they don’t disappear.
They simply pass down, shape the tone of your voice, guide your reactions, become the lens through which you see your child.

Your child doesn’t just inherit your smile.They inherit your patterns.Your fears.Your unfinished business.

That’s why this work matters so much.
Not to be perfect. Not to “fix” yourself.But to pause long enough to ask: Is this mine? Or am I about to hand it to them, too?

Because when you dare to meet your pain with honesty, your child gets something different…

They get a parent who chooses awareness over autopilot.A home where emotions are felt, not feared.A legacy that doesn’t pass on the hurt unexamined.

So no — we don’t have to be flawless.But we do have to be brave.

Because the things we avoid…They don’t vanish.They just get handed down.

And our children deserve better than that.
They deserve us. Whole, aware, evolving.
One conscious choice at a time. ❤️

For my fellow Empath’s”❤️

Your sensitivity and intuition is a gift, yet sometimes it can feel overwhelming because we live in a world that is constantly trying to distract us and tell us otherwise. The noise of the media, and constant stream of information can keep us in fight or flight mode and hypervigalent.

It’s important to maintain your inner balance to stay steady in the face of your own life stressors and the collective heaviness and tension. Because honestly, it can be exhausting when you feel like a sponge picking up everybody else’s emotions.

You might feel drained, irritable, anxious, or moody. The crazy thing is sometimes we are not aware we are picking up on other people’s emotions and vibes, and we end up taking on their stuff.  The energy around us cannot be underrated!

Staying centered and aware will  help you tune into your own inner knowing and distinguish your emotions from the emotions of others.

Here are some things you can do to soothe and reset. Nothing earth shattering here, only reminders that simplicity coupled with  a consistent daily routine can give you the relief you are looking for.

🌟 Physical movement 🏃‍♀️

I know, sounds obvious, right?) Doesn’t have to be all or nothing though, no need to complicate it.
If you only have a few minutes to take a short walk, do a few yoga poses, stretch, or a quick workout that is enough!  Something is always better than nothing.

🌟 4-2-4 Breathing: 😮‍💨

Inhale for 4 seconds
Hold your breath for 2 seconds
Exhale for 4 seconds
Repeat this breathing cycle for a minute or two, or until you feel calmer🧘🕊️

🌟 Laughter 😆

 The saying that it is the best medicine is more than accurate.  Listening to your favorite comedian, sharing a laugh with your favorite person/people, or watching something funny can do help you feel rejuvenated.

🌟 Water 💦

 Drink water, splash cold water on your face, or take a bath or shower.  If you are able to go for a swim, that’s great too.

🌟 Hugging 🫂 a loved one or snuggling with your pet 🐶 🐱

🌟 Music 🎶
You already know listening to whatever you are in the mood for, can totally shift your mood!
