In the 1970s, the practice of Kangaroo Care and Skin-to-skin began as a way to promote bonding and breastfeeding. Ideally, your journey should begin in the first hour of birth.
Both parents are encouraged to place baby on their chest without clothing or blankets between them. Any amount of time each day is encouraged with 1-2 hours daily recommended. SAFETY: Be careful not to fall asleep with baby, Family!
