Our Story

Four States Doulas is a collective of individual doulas and other birth-related service professionals. While researching local doulas for one of her former students, Doula Jaimee discovered that there were almost no doulas in the Ark-La-Tex. She also found that there was a strong desire to have this resource for all families. Circumstances started to fall into place with all of the signs pointing Jaimee and her husband, Chad, to finally make their long-desired trek to return ā€œhomeā€ to Texarkana.

Jaimee and Chad started making connections with professionals in the birth community while simultaneously preparing their home in Plano for sale. Within just a few months, they were on their way back home and had gathered a Tribe of women ready to serve their communities. Check out our Sisterhood page to meet our doulas.
