🌟 Meet Terrell Polite! 🎉
Terrell is one of our incredible hospice chaplains out of our Texarkana home office, and has been with Heritage for 6 years now!!! 🤩

It’s National Hospice & Palliative Care Month! 🫶 Our chaplains are some of the most important people walking alongside our patients during their hospice journey. Terrell is no exception!

We asked him some questions to give you all some insight into his inspiring journey with Heritage, and his dedication to compassionate care! 👇

💙 What do you love about working with Heritage?
“I enjoy working at Heritage because it’s a family-oriented agency, which allows me to spiritually support the patients and their families, while also keeping my own personal family time priority as well.”

💙 What do you feel is the MOST meaningful part of being a hospice chaplain?
“As a hospice chaplain, I have learned that the end of life is just as important as the beginning of life. I am providing spiritual comfort to families as they cope with grief, as their love ones transition into eternal life. This life is temporary, but our spirit is eternal.” 🕊️

“I enjoy my family time, playing video games, reading books, and soaking in wisdom and principles from the elders and the older generation.”

Hidden little moments you don’t always see in hospice care…

Sometimes a routine visit turns into something more.

Today, one of our patients was discouraged.
Destiny, one of our hospice nurses, gently touched his shoulder and asked if she could pray over him.

He said yes.

And Kristy, our volunteer coordinator, sat close, wrapping her hand in his, offering comfort, being present in the way only hospice workers know how to be.

These are the moments we’re grateful for!!!

The moments that remind us why small matters.
Why connection matters.
Why hospice is more than just care.

We are blessed to be a part of moments like these.

This is the heart of what we do 🙏💙
