Almost everyone has experienced blackheads on the face;
they are annoying little black blemishes that can distort the smooth and beautiful look of your facial skin.

Blackheads can be very stubborn; you may need to adopt a routine to get rid of blackheads in the long-term.
The methods described in this article can help you remove blackheads easily and prevent the reappearance of these little annoying things.

What causes blackheads?
The facial skin is exposed to all kinds of weather conditions, dirt and the different kinds of facial makeup we use regularly.
Blackheads are caused when the skin pores are clogged with oils and dirt.

This dirt could lead to the increased bacterial activity which results in the blackheads.
Our facial skin also produces natural oils, especially for people with oily skin.
It is important to clean your face regularly to remove dirt and oils from the skin surface.

It is also advisable to use warm water while washing your face; warm water opens up your skin pores.
Use these tips to remove and prevent blackheads:

Exfoliation
Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells and oils that clog your skin pores.
Opening up the skin pores make it easier for the blackheads to be removed.

Regular exfoliation also keeps your skin pores open to prevent the accumulation of dirt and oils which can cause blackheads.
You can easily exfoliate by mixing some sugar and coconut oil.
Rub into your skin and rinse off with warm water.

Homemade facial masks
A mixture of lemon juice and raw eggs makes the perfect facial mask to remove blackheads.
Apply the paste from this mixture on your face and cover these areas with a tissue.
After a few minutes, peel off the tissue to remove the mask and blackheads from your skin.
Baking Soda treatment for blackheads
Baking soda is commonly used to treat blackheads due to its antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Simply make a paste using three teaspoons of baking soda and one teaspoon of water.
Apply this paste on the blackheads. They will disappear quickly after rinsing off the paste.

Orange Peels for blackhead treatment
It is easy to get orange peels, and they can be used to remove blackheads.

Dry the peels and grind them into a powder.
When you notice blackheads, make a paste by mixing some quantity of the orange peel powder with a small quantity of water.
Apply this past on the blackhead. Leave for about three minutes then rinse off with cold water.

After getting rid of blackheads, you can prevent recurrence by keeping your skin pores open and free from dirt.
This can be done by rinsing your face regularly with warm water to keep your skin pores free from oil deposits and dead skin cells.
A good diet will also help to provide the nutrients your skin needs to flourish.
