Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Texas City High School Choir — The Soundsations — to The Shoal for a Christmas concert. Our staff and residents were truly blown away by their incredible talent! Their performance brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces and filled our community with holiday cheer. 🎶🎄

Angel Tree Gifts Needed for Our Shoal Residents

Each year, we host an Angel Tree to ensure every resident of The Shoal feels the joy and warmth of the holiday season. Staff and community members are invited to choose a tag from the tree—each tag includes a resident’s clothing sizes and wish-list items—so they can be gifted something special for Christmas.

This tradition brings incredible joy to our residents, especially to those who may not have family outside of their Shoal family.

This year, we still have a few residents who have not yet been selected.

We’ve had so much to celebrate this week!

First, let’s give a huge congratulations to our amazing CNA, Bernadette, for earning Employee of the Month! 🏅 Your hard work, compassion, and dedication truly shine every day—this recognition is so well deserved.

Next, a big round of applause to our Nurses Station on the Long Term Care side for taking home the win in our Halloween Decorating Contest! 👻 The creativity and teamwork were absolutely spooktacular.

And we can’t forget Katrina, our Director of Nursing, who wowed everyone and won the Costume Contest as Grandmamma Addams from The Addams Family! 🕸️

To top it all off, we wrapped up the week with some totally tubular fun—celebrating Halloween 80’s style! 💿🕺💄 The outfits, music, and energy brought us all back to one of the most iconic decades.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this week one to remember at The Shoal! 💙
