We are seeking a compassionate and reliable In Home Caregiver for the Elderly to provide exceptional care and support to seniors in their own homes in Galveston County. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in elder care, with experience in assisting with daily activities, medication reminders , and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
Medication reminders.
Use specialized equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs to safely transfer clients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing living spaces.
Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment that promotes mental well-being.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Qualifications

Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to patient information.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) when necessary and operate medical equipment safely.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, or memory care needs is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and a respectful approach toward seniors and their families.
