Before you start spending a bunch of time and money on ghost hunting events and equipment, or traveling to spooky places that charge an arm and a leg to get you entrance, you might want to consider what the Bible has to say about the paranormal. It's full of stories about angels, demons, visions, and miracles - stuff that some people might call supernatural. But what's interesting is that the Bible doesn't just dismiss these things as unreal. Instead, it offers guidance on how to understand and navigate them and warns against them not because they're false but because they're true. And let's be real, there's a dark side to the paranormal that can be really enticing, but also super costly. It's like, before you know it you're sucked in and way over your head, it becomes a priority in your life. The Bible actually warns against getting too involved with spirits, and in Leviticus 19:31and Revaluation 21:8, it tells us to avoid them at all costs. Maybe it's worth thinking about how our faith fits into all this.
Take it from me I went down that long winding path for many years - years I can't get back.
What a waste!

Came up in my Facebook memories 2019

I watched a show on AMC today that discussed the Catholic Church and the Vatican. The conversation turned to demonology, with the surprising revelation that there are more demonologists within the Catholic Church now than ever before. One of the speakers even claimed that he didn't believe in demons.

Ironically, I had just finished my class on Angels and Demons, where we listened to a chilling recording of what was believed to be demon voices captured at a ritual site. After hearing that clip, I'm convinced that demons are, in fact, real. The experience was both terrifying and disturbing.

It also made me reflect on the importance of being mindful of what we worship. There are many people experimenting with forces they don't fully understand, without considering the potential consequences. I, for one, have no desire to end up in the realm where those unsettling voices emanate from. It's a truly frightening thought.

Curious if any of our viewers have experienced this?
If you have, sure would like to hear your story.

The "Third Man Syndrome" is a psychological phenomenon where people in extreme survival situations, such as mountaineering, polar expeditions, or solo sailing, report experiencing an unseen presence, often described as a third person, that accompanies them and provides comfort, support, and guidance.

This phenomenon was first described by Sir Ernest Shackleton, a British explorer, who experienced it during his Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition in 1914-1917. Since then, many others have reported similar experiences, including adventurers, astronauts, and even people in near-death experiences.

The "Third Man" is often described as a benevolent, reassuring presence that helps individuals cope with stress, fear, and uncertainty. While its exact nature is unknown, it's thought to be a psychological coping mechanism, a manifestation of the brain's ability to create a comforting presence in times of need.

The term "Third Man Syndrome" was popularized by John Geiger's 2009 book, "The Third Man Factor: The Secret to Survival in Extreme Environments.
