Thank you for writing this informative letter describing the specific risks of the Star Valley community with its 14,000 residents and its 22 hospital beds. To make the greatest impact on flattening our COVID-19 curve, we need 100% participation diligently living by the CDC Guidelines of social distancing using the 6-foot rule, no unnecessary travel, cough/sneeze guarding, hand-washing/sanitizing, and staying home. If we commit to this for awhile, we give the estimated 280 of our family members and friends the best chance at having one of the 22 hospital beds available to them in their time of need. We will also be sending the message to our Star Valley medical professionals that we care about them and are willing to do whatever it takes to protect them as they go to battle for us. Strict adherence is critical for now but it will eventually relax after many lives will have been saved. Even if it’s difficult to believe that all of this happening, what will it hurt to participate anyways? You are needed in order to make the greatest impact together!
