🫀 After graduating from Residency, Dr. Nogoy will continue her training at Montefiore Health System as one of our Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesia (ACTA) Fellows!
"Our Cardiac attendings made my Cardiac rotation such a great experience, and I love cardiac physiology and taking care of medically complex patients undergoing cardiac procedures. I'm looking forward to further honing my skills to take care of some of the sickest patients in the hospital, learning echo, and working closely with our cardiac faculty."

🌊 When she's not working, Dr. Nogoy enjoys traveling with her husband - especially snorkeling, surfing, whale watching, or relaxing on the beach - anything around the water!

⭐️New Research⭐️

"Association Between COVID-19 Infection and Postoperative Outcomes Following Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: A Retrospective Cohort Study" published in the Journal of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Anesthesia

Using multicenter data from the National COVID Cohort Collaborative, our team found that patients who had COVID-19 infection within 2 weeks prior to CABG surgery had a significantly increased risk of postoperative complications.

Congratulations to the research team including first author Dr. Henry Hoang, a recent graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and now an Intern at Mount Sinai. Amazing work!

⭐️NEW RESEARCH⭐️

Our Digital Health Lab conducted a multicentric hospital registry study to analyze the differences in urgent & emergency surgery wait times between female and male surgeons. They found that start times were faster among female surgeons, and their patients had shorter hospital lengths of stay.
