HERE ARE SOME COMMON SYMPTOMS OF PARKINSON’S DISEASE
🧠 Motor (movement-related) symptoms
• Tremor – shaking, often starting in the hands or fingers (at rest)
• Slowed movement (bradykinesia) – difficulty initiating movement, feeling “stuck”
• Muscle stiffness (rigidity) – tight or inflexible muscles
• Impaired balance and posture – increased risk of falls
• Changes in walking – short steps, shuffling gait, reduced arm swing
🧩 Non-motor symptoms
• Loss of smell (anosmia) – often one of the earliest signs
• Sleep problems – insomnia or acting out dreams
• Constipation
• Depression or anxiety
• Fatigue
• Soft or low voice (hypophonia)
• Cognitive changes – memory or thinking difficulties (in later stages)
⚠️ Important note
Symptoms usually develop gradually and vary from person to person. Early recognition and medical care can help manage the condition effectively.
