Today, our community gathered in faith to mark the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection, renewal, and grace. With hearts open and foreheads marked with ash, our residents and staff came together in our beautiful chapel to receive this sacred reminder of humility and hope.

We are grateful for the spiritual care that nourishes our community each and every day. 🙏

Healing looks different for everyone.

For some, it’s inpatient or outpatient therapy.
For others, dialysis or another specialized service.

What matters most is knowing you’re supported at every step, not rushed, not overlooked.

At The Methodist Home for Nursing + Rehabilitation, care is never one-size-fits-all. It’s thoughtful, coordinated, and centered on what each person truly needs to heal in their own time.

We’re here. When you need us.

From a physical therapy perspective, progress is built one step at a time.

Gait training, balance work, and assisted walking help the body relearn safe movement, rebuild strength, and restore confidence after illness, injury, or surgery. Each supported step reinforces stability, coordination, and movement patterns that matter for everyday life.

In rehabilitation, small milestones carry real meaning. A steadier step, better posture, or a little more endurance all signal forward momentum toward independence.

At The Methodist Home for Nursing + Rehabilitation, our physical therapy team focuses on evidence-based care that supports mobility, safety, and confidence throughout every stage of recovery.

Love doesn’t age. It deepens.
It lives in shared laughter, familiar hands, quiet celebrations, and the moments that remind us we’re never too old to feel seen, held, or truly cherished.
Today, we’re celebrating love in all its forms and at every stage of life, right here at The Methodist Home for Nursing + Rehabilitation.

Because connection isn’t extra. It’s part of care.♥️

Happy Valentine’s Day ✨

Short-term rehabilitation is often misunderstood as care only for seniors, but that is not the case. Short-term rehab supports people of many ages who need focused, temporary care after surgery, injury, illness, or a hospital stay.

What matters is not age. What matters is having the right level of medical support, therapy, and guidance at the right moment so recovery can happen safely and with confidence. Short-term rehabilitation is designed to help individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence before returning home and resuming daily life.

In our latest blog post, we take a closer look at who short-term rehabilitation is really for, when it is recommended, and how it supports recovery across different life stages. We also explain how personalized therapy and coordinated care help patients move forward feeling stronger and more prepared.

Being named one of the Best Short-Term Rehabilitation Centers is not about a title on a wall or an award to display.

It is about what happens inside our doors every single day and how people are cared for during some of the most vulnerable moments of recovery.

It is about focused, individualized therapy that meets people where they are. It is about clean, thoughtfully designed spaces that support healing, comfort, and safety.

It is about teams who show up with consistency, patience, and genuine care, not just once, but day after day.

We are honored to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report, and we are even more committed to the individuals and families who place their trust in us during recovery.

That trust is something we earn through action, presence, and follow-through.
Excellence is not something you receive and move on from.

It is something you practice daily, in every interaction, every treatment plan, and every step forward a patient takes.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, yet so many symptoms go unnoticed, misunderstood, or dismissed.

is about changing that.

It’s about education, early detection and prevention.

And empowering people to take charge of their heart health through movement, nutrition, stress management, and regular screenings.

At The Methodist Home, we believe awareness saves lives. Today we proudly wear red to honor every patient, every caregiver, and every family affected by heart disease and to remind our community that small, consistent choices can make a powerful difference.

Your heart works hard for you every day.

Let’s take care of it. ♥️

Care doesn’t end when rehabilitation does.

For many individuals and families, ongoing treatment becomes part of everyday life, and that continuity of care matters deeply.

Our Hemodialysis Center, in partnership with the Rogosin Institute, was thoughtfully designed to provide advanced, high-quality treatment in an environment that feels calm, safe, and respectful.

This space was created with intention, recognizing that medical care is not only about technology, but about how people feel while receiving it.

Patients are welcomed into comfortable surroundings and supported by experienced professionals who take the time to know them by name, understand their needs, and deliver care with patience, attentiveness, and dignity. Treatment should never feel rushed or impersonal.

When dialysis becomes part of a person’s routine, compassion should remain present in every interaction and every moment of care.

At The Methodist Home for Nursing + Rehabilitation, we are committed to patient-centered healthcare that honors the whole person, every step of the way.
