The model and benchmark for hospice in America, Bronx-based Calvary provides unmatched loving, compassionate, care that relieves suffering and improves the quality of life of approximately 6000 mostly terminally ill patients (and their families) annually throughout Greater New York, providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical interventions and support services.

Fosina to discuss the community’s evolving healthcare needs as well as Calvary’s roots in the Bronx and its extensive Hospice program that serves the Congressman’s constituents in the Bronx and across Westchester.

At the same time, our hearts are heavy as we witness acts of senseless violence that have shaken communities at home and around the world. We stand in solidarity with all who are grieving and with those who are working tirelessly to bring comfort, healing, and peace.

This week we honor Calvary’s exceptional Nurse Practitioners (NPs), whose depth of care and expertise is both valued and essential for patients and families. In our hospitals, ArchCare nursing homes, and in hundreds of homes throughout our community every day, they manage complex conditions and provide holistic, patient-centered that aligns with each person’s values and their family's emotional needs. Happy 6th Birthday this week to Molly, Calvary’s fluffy volunteer registered “pawtner in care,” who has comforted more than 1000 patients and families at our Bronx Hospital. Special thanks to Calvary’s Cathy Kalinksi, RN, CWON (retired), who shares Molly with all of us. Together, they embody the healing power of compassion and a comforting paw, a wonderful gift to the entire Calvary community. We're also grateful to animal healthcare company Zoetis for its generous support of pet-therapy at Calvary. Thank you, Molly, for your unconditional love!

We are proud to continue the legacy of the Dames du Calvaire, whose vision still guides us today.
