We had a colorful blast at our Tie-Dye Party! 🌈

Residents got creative, mixing vibrant colors and patterns to make their very own tie-dye shirts. It was a fun, hands-on activity full of laughter, self-expression, and bright, cheerful designs.

A little messy, a lot of fun, and 100% unforgettable! 💛💜💙

What a wonderful day at the Oregon Veterans’ Home- The Dalles! Our Down on the Farm event was filled with great food, music, friendly animals, fun games, and lots of smiles.

Hungry Hippos Fun at OVH!

Our residents had a blast playing a life-sized version of Hungry Hippos! Using pool noodles with cups attached, they scooped up ping pong balls in a fun, friendly competition. The room was full of laughter and energy—it was a simple, creative activity that turned into a huge hit!

We celebrated the first day of spring with a fun indoor flower planting activity! 🌸

Everyone enjoyed getting their hands in the soil, planting beautiful blooms, and welcoming the new season together. It was a wonderful way to brighten our day and our spaces! 🌷

Happy Women's Military History Week! Thank you to all of the women who have proudly and bravely served in every conflict in our nation's history.

Residents from Oregon Veterans Home – The Dalles recently had the opportunity to attend a performance by the United States Air Force Band, and it was an incredible experience! 🇺🇸🎶

The music was fantastic, and the residents truly enjoyed the patriotic performance. Thank you to the U.S. Air Force Band for sharing your talent and honoring those who have served.

Residents, staff, and families recently enjoyed a deliciously fun Chocolate Tasting as part of our monthly “Fruit Tasting” series!

After an educational presentation exploring the origins of chocolate — including its historical use in the military — everyone sampled a variety of chocolates. The event ended on a sweet note with a very special fresh-baked brownie and ice cream treat.

This was our largest turnout yet for a Fruit Tasting event… and rightly so — because yes, chocolate is a fruit (from the Theobroma cacao tree 😉).

Veterans Home residents enjoyed a Parade of Animals, to celebrate "National Love Your Pet Day"— including pups, a bunny, and everyone’s favorite, Love Bug the goat 🐐💛.

It was a day full of smiles, snuggles, and joy!

The Veterans Home residents had a fantastic time visiting The Coffee Shop — and we definitely packed the place! 😊 We enjoyed coffee, cocoa, and delicious fresh-baked goodies while sharing laughter and great conversation.

It was extra special to have staff, volunteers, and even some family members join us for the fun.

A heartfelt thank you to The Coffee Shop for the warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. Everyone had a GREAT time!
