In July, FSC Kids therapists, Nancy Soliz and Ceedee Gaddis, took a week to travel to Chicago and volunteer at Camp Theraplay. The camp is made up of a majority of children that are adopted or currently in foster care.

Our Anxiety Group for Adolescents is now open for registration! This group will begin September 10th at 6pm- just in time for back to school season!

This group is designed for adolescents ages 11-14 who are struggling with stress and anxiety. We will focus on helping them identify and label their emotions, learn stress management techniques, and develop effective coping skills. Join us for a supportive and engaging experience where we’ll learn valuable practices to navigate emotions and build resilience!

When we place our focus on the things we cannot control, we create worries, fear, anger, and other unhelpful emotions. We stew in this emotional upset without a way to resolve it because the situation and things upsetting us remain beyond our control.

Instead, if we focus on the on the things within our control and what we CAN do can relives us from discomfort.

Our Summer Social Skills Group is now open for registration! This group starts June 11th, and will be led by FSC Kids therapist, Emily Linsky.

This group is intended for children ages 8-12 years old who want to learn how to practice social skills in a fun and engaging way. We will learn conversation skills, perspective taking, conflict resolution, having empathy for others and more!
