🎉 Thank you to our amazing Lake Centre for Rehab volunteers!

We had a great time this Saturday at Move & Shout at Genesis Health Clubs - a fun and interactive Parkinson’s event focused on movement, speech, and the importance of staying active every day.

A special thank you to Jaime Haines, DPT, Jennifer Gelb, SLP, and to everyone who helped make the event a success!

Approximately 50 attendees participated and were reminded of the importance of daily physical therapy and speech therapy exercises to support movement, voice, confidence, and overall quality of life.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support our Parkinson’s community and partner with others who are passionate about helping people keep moving, speaking, and living well. 💙

We had a great time connecting with the community, meeting local residents, and sharing how physical therapy can help people stay active, independent, and doing the things they love.

Mental Health Awareness Month starts today 💚 Recovery isn’t just physical. After an injury, the mental side of healing can be just as challenging – frustration, fear, loss of routine, even loss of identity.

That’s where physical therapy goes beyond exercises and appointments. It’s about helping people rebuild confidence, restore independence, and feel like themselves again.
Because real recovery means supporting the whole person, mind and body.

Happy Occupational Therapy Month!

This month, we’re proud to celebrate our incredible Occupational Therapy team at Lake Centre for Rehab.

Occupational therapists play such an important role in helping patients regain independence, improve daily function, and return to the activities that matter most - whether that’s getting dressed, preparing meals, returning to work, caring for family, or simply moving through the day with more confidence.

You’re in the stands. The game is close. Then your athlete goes down—and suddenly nothing else matters. In that moment, it’s not about the score. It’s about making the right decision.
More schools and teams are bringing physical therapists onto the sidelines to help prevent injuries, evaluate them early, and protect long-term health—not just respond when something goes wrong.
Because what feels like a “minor” issue in the moment can turn into something much bigger without the right care. Early evaluation matters. And having the right support in place can make all the difference in keeping athletes healthy and in the game.

Lake Centre for Rehab was proud to support the 2nd Annual St. Paul Catholic School 5K Colored Powder Run/Walk!

With 134 participants, this event brought together students, families, and the community for a fun morning of movement, color, and support for a great cause.

As a local healthcare provider, we love being part of events that encourage families to stay active, connect with one another, and support organizations making a difference in our community.
