Itโ€™s never something you want to hear: โ€œYour child has cancer.โ€ For the Plummer family, it became a reality. One year old, Merritt was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer. She had to undergo many surgeries and radiation.

"I was diagnosed with CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy) about 11 years ago. My treatment was IVIG every 4 weeks for several years. One IVIG treatment requires 3,000 to 10,000 blood donations. It really blew my mind that there were that many people who donated in order for me to get my treatments."
