❄️ Yes, dry eye can get worse during the winter months.

Cooler air, indoor heating, and lower humidity levels can all contribute to increased dryness, irritation, and discomfort. Staying hydrated, using artificial tears, and running a humidifier at home can help relieve symptoms.

👁️ Ever wonder why your eyes need to be dilated during an exam?

A dilated eye exam gives your eye doctor a full view of the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels at the back of your eye. This helps detect serious conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment before they cause noticeable symptoms.

At St. Luke’s at The Villages, we are committed to protecting your long-term vision through comprehensive eye care.
