ON HIGH DOSE IV VIT C:
We would like to reintroduce the idea of possible high potential benefit of using high dose IV Vit. C to treat sepsis and ARDS due to COVID19. The prelim study on IV Vit C called CITRIS-ALI (Vitamin C Infusion for Treatment on Sepsis- Induced Acute Lung Injury) was done under NIH headed by Dr. Marik with at least 7 major Medical School University Hospitals in the US participating, the results were very positive and promising. There was a significant decrease in the mortality rate, there was a significant decrease in both over all ICU and hospital stay. The patient got better faster. This therapy has been in existence and being utilized in the alternative medicine world for a long time and with many other different indications. Safety profile is very good.
More studies are on going at this time.
