Many moons ago in Salt Lake City, John and I—along with a handful of others—set out on the honorable path of bodywork, hoping to make people’s lives better. Over time, most drifted down different roads until only two remained. Fast-forward 23 years, and here we are, still side by side, still learning—taking CEUs with Dr. Ross at the Science of Massage Institute. Decades later, we’re still at the table, still in love with the work.

Remember to always lift with those powerful legs of yours to avoid any unnecessary pain and injury. Your back will thank you later, and so will I 🙏. Let's make the new mantra, because let's face it, is so last year. Happy , my friends!

Ahem, ladies and gentlemen, let's talk about the importance of open communication during a massage session. Yes, I know, it's a groundbreaking concept. But seriously, folks, if you want to have a truly transformative experience, you need to speak up. Mostly because I am not a mind reader, much to my wife's chigrin.

First and foremost, remember that this massage session is all about YOU. So, don't be afraid to express your desires, concerns, and expectations. I mean, why else are you paying me for if not to get exactly what you want?

And hey, listen to your body. It's trying to tell you something. If something feels uncomfortable or you need extra attention in certain areas, don't hesitate to speak up.  Again, I'm not a mind reader, folks. I can't magically know what you need unless you tell me.

Speaking of telling me things, please vocalize your comfort level. I don't want you to be squirming around in discomfort because you're too shy to ask me to adjust the pressure or temperature. I'm here to create an atmosphere that enhances relaxation, not torture you. Well.... Most of you.

And finally, let's address the elephant in the room. Silence isn't mandatory. I know, I know, some people prefer to just lay there in silence and let me do my thing. But if you're feeling chatty, go ahead and engage in conversation. I won't judge you. In fact, I appreciate the distraction from the monotony of my own mind. 

So, there you have it, folks. Open communication is the key to a successful massage session. Don't be afraid to speak up, listen to your body, vocalize your comfort level, and feel free to chat if you want. Now, let's get this show on the road.
