🆘 It’s not a lack of information that’s keeping you stuck.
I know this one’s uncomfortable for me too… because I LOVE education.

But here’s what I see all the time:
👉 “I just need to learn a little more”
👉 “Let me research this first”�
👉 “I’ll start when I understand it better”

Meanwhile… you’re already thinking you should:
➡️ eat better
➡️ move more
➡️ manage stress�
➡️ sleep better

And you’ve probably tried:�
📌 cutting carbs�
📌 fasting�
📌 adding more protein

…but nothing is actually changing.

Most women think fat loss comes down to:
“eat less + work out more”
And yes — a calorie deficit and training matter. But here’s the part no one talks about 👇

There’s something called NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis)
AKA → all the movement you do outside the gym.
And it’s not small.

We’re talking:
🚶‍♀️Walking between tasks
🧹Cleaning, cooking, being on your feet
💃Fidgeting, pacing, taking the stairs

Here’s the truth most women miss:
👉 NEAT can burn hundreds (for some even thousands) of calories per day.
Which means…
Two women can:
✔️ Eat the same
✔️ Follow the same workout plan
…but the one who moves more throughout the day?
Gets better results.

And this is exactly why you might feel like:
“I’m doing everything right… so why isn’t this working?”
👀 It’s not always your workouts.
👀 It’s not always your food.

Most women think a slow metabolism is just about aging, eating too much, or not exercising enough—but the truth is, it’s often the small, daily habits you don’t even realize “might” sabotaging you.

🔹Ignoring Your Step Count
❌NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) makes up the majority of daily calorie burn—sitting too much tanks metabolism.
✅Get at least 8,000-10,000 steps daily, especially post-meal walks.

🔹 Skipping Protein at Breakfast
❌Leads to blood sugar crashes, more cravings, and lower thermogenesis throughout the day.
✅Eat 30-35g of protein first thing in the morning.

🔹Over-Reliance on Cardio Instead of Strength Training
❌Too much cardio burns muscle, which is the biggest driver of a fast metabolism.
✅Strength train 3-4x per week and focus on progressive overload.

🔹Dehydration = Slower Calorie Burn
❌Even mild dehydration reduces ATP (energy) production and fat metabolism.
✅Drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily (and add electrolytes!).

🔹Sitting Immediately After Eating
❌Leads to higher insulin spikes & slower digestion, causing more fat storage.
✅Walk for 10-15 minutes after meals to improve blood sugar control.

🔹Low Fat Diet
❌Hormones like testosterone, estrogen, and thyroid hormones need healthy fats to function.
✅Eat avocados, coconut oil, nuts, seeds, etc.

🔹Waking Up at Different Times Every Day
❌Your body thrives on routine, and irregular sleep-wake cycles disrupt metabolic efficiency.
✅Wake up within the same 30-minute window daily, yes -even on weekends.

🔹Eating Too Late at Night
❌Disrupts circadian rhythm, increases insulin resistance, and impacts digestion overnight.
✅Stop eating 2-3 hours before bed to improve fat-burning and metabolic efficiency.

🔹Drinking Coffee on an Empty Stomach
❌Spikes cortisol, leading to blood sugar crashes, increased cravings, and metabolic stress.
✅Eat protein & healthy fats first, then have coffee.

Here’s what actually slows your metabolism (and how to fix it):

🔥 Muscle loss
The less muscle you have, the fewer calories you burn at rest. Strength training is non-negotiable.

⚖️ Hormonal shifts
Your thyroid, insulin, and cortisol all impact how efficiently your body burns energy. Stress, poor sleep, and nutrient deficiencies can throw them off.

🚶‍♀️ Less daily movement
You don’t just burn calories in the gym. Your overall activity (steps, posture, fidgeting) plays a HUGE role in keeping your metabolism active.

So no, age isn’t the reason your metabolism is slowing—it’s what happens when you stop doing the things that keep it running efficiently. The good news? You can reverse it. 💪

I almost didn’t post this.😬
Not because I don’t have something to say…But because I caught myself spiraling in my own head:
“That’s not it.”
“That won’t land.”
“I need a better plan first.”
And just like that… delay.

Here’s the part that matters—
This is the exact same pattern I see with women when it comes to their health and weight loss.
Waiting for:
➡️the perfect plan
➡️the perfect timing
➡️the perfect motivation
All while doing a whole lot of thinking… and not a lot of moving.

But your body doesn’t respond to overthinking. It responds to consistent inputs over time.
That’s how you change metabolism.That’s how you build muscle. That’s how fat loss actually happens.
Not from sitting in indecision trying to “get it right.”
From action.
Imperfect, maybe a little messy, but intentional action.
And yes—eventually we want structure. You know I’m all about that.
But clarity doesn’t magically show up first. It’s built through movement.
So if you’ve been:
• overanalyzing every step
• starting and stopping
• waiting to feel “back on track”
This is your nudge.
Start.
Not perfectly. Not all figured out. Just one aligned step forward.
