She has an office in The Woodlands and has been in private practice since 1983. Dr. Bethea completed her allergy training at the University of Florida in Gainesville and prior to that she completed a Pediatric Internship and Residency at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Currently Dr. Bethea is a Fellow of both the American College and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Im

munology. She is a member of Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society where she just completed 4 years on the board. She has also served as Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect and President of the Greater Houston Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society. For the past 7 years she has been Asthma Screening Coordinator for the Greater Houston area. Her special interests are the treatment of asthma in children, urticaria and IgG deficiency.

Dr. Bethea was recently The Texas Medical Association's Featured Member and she collaborated with them to record a podcast.

After many years of service to organized medicine, Dr. Bethea has found a new way to help patients. As a member of TMA’s Council on Health Promotion, Dr. Bethea recently spoke on its Health Beat podcast about allergies and respiratory illnesses. “The podcast offers a way to deliver a timely conversation while encouraging patients,” she said. “We want to remind people [during allergy season] to be aware of symptoms before they start, because it could lead to other health problems down the road.”
