What a fantastic day out! 🌞 Our residents took a trip to Wunsche Brothers Restaurant for a fun lunch outing filled with smiles, stories, and southern comfort food. 🍴These shared moments are what make our community feel like family. 👩‍🍳🍒 Our residents had the sweetest time today making a German favorite — Rote Grütze! 🇩🇪✨ With bowls full of berries, a sprinkle of sugar, and plenty of laughter, this dessert came together beautifully. The best part? Sharing and tasting it together at the end. ❤️

The atmosphere was electric as we commemorated the season with our Fall Festival. The funnel cakes proved to be an irresistible delight. The Cake Walk and Newspaper Run Races unleashed a wave of enthusiasm, transporting everyone back to their childhood. 🎉🍁🎂
A delectable buffet featuring grilled burgers and hotdogs, potato salad, macaroni n cheese, baked beans, and a variety of additional options were provided.
The evening concluded with dancing 🕺 💃 to the tunes of a live band.

Fall Festival Centerpieces

Our residents put a lot of planning and preparation in creating our centerpieces for our Fall Festival. We first went shopping at Michael's and Hobby Lobby to select our supplies. We had a lot of fun shopping and we also enjoyed looking at all the Christmas selections at Hobby Lobby. We left with great ideas for Christmas.
Yesterday we let our creative juices flow and assemble the centerpieces. We had so much fun by the time we finished we were covered in hay! 😂

Meet Matthew Tahaney, Executive Chef at The Auberge in The Woodlands. With over 15 years of culinary experience and a degree from The Art Institute of Houston, Matthew has worked in fine dining, hotels, and country clubs before finding his passion in senior living. For the past two years, he has loved creating delicious meals that bring joy and comfort to residents, even earning awards at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for his dishes. Matthew believes that a great meal has the power to make life better every day.
