Holiday environments can be loud, bright, crowded, and unpredictable — a tough mix for anxiety, OCD, panic, and sensory sensitivities.

It’s okay to:
🎧 Use noise-reducing earbuds
🚶 Step outside
🍽 Sit at the edge of the room
🌲 Choose quieter gatherings

You’re allowed to protect your sensory bandwidth.

Anxiety says: “Something bad will happen.”
Intuition says: “Something feels off.”

Anxiety is urgent, loud, and repetitive.
Intuition is grounded, quiet, and steady.

Learning the difference can help reduce compulsions and strengthen trust in yourself — an important part of OCD recovery.

Follow us for more everyday tools that help you untangle anxiety and intuition.

If your OCD symptoms feel stronger after the holidays, you’re not going backwards — your nervous system is simply recalibrating after several weeks of disrupted routines, overstimulation, travel, and stress.

A flare-up doesn’t erase your progress.
It’s a sign your brain needs gentleness, structure, and support while you settle back into your rhythm.

Small steps count. Slow days count.
And recovery is still happening. 💛

You don’t need a “new you.”You just need gentleness, persistence, and support in the direction you’re already growing.

We’re introducing a new OCD Parent Support Group, created in response to many parent requests. This group meets at the same time, in the second-floor conference room of the Peace Palace.

The parent group is especially helpful for families who are newly navigating an OCD diagnosis and looking for guidance, support, and a clearer starting point.

Both groups meet concurrently, allowing teens and parents to receive support in separate, age-appropriate spaces.
