Well … I guess it’s time to bring this page back to life 👋🏼

Hi, I’m Dr. Taylor Saucier, a foot & ankle podiatric surgeon, soccer-playing, community-loving, small-business-building human.

Yes, I fix feet.

And yes, I care about getting you back to doing what you actually enjoy … whether that’s walking without pain or competing on the field.

After a little hiatus, I’m refreshing this space to share:
- Foot & ankle education (without the boring fluff)
- Sports injuries & recovery
- Diabetic limb preservation
- And the occasional clinic moment that’ll make you laugh

Let’s keep people moving.

Glad to be back. 💛

Got an ingrown toenail? 💅

We’ve all been tempted to fix it ourselves … but using kitchen tools, picking, or biting (yikes 😬) is a quick trip to pain, infection, and regret.

Here’s what you should do instead:
✅ Soak your feet in warm water and Epsom salts. It helps reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation.
✅ Wear soft, roomy shoes. Avoid anything that squeezes your toe.
✅ Trim your nails straight across … and NEVER pick, tear, or bite them.
✅ Apply an antibiotic ointment like bacitracin or triple antibiotic to prevent infection.
✅ Skip the bathroom “surgery!” Let a pro (it’s me, hi 👋) fix it properly.

Come see me and I’ll fix that ingrown toenail painlessly! Call the office at 936-273-3311! We have same-day appointments available!

✨👣 Welcome to our first Transformation Tuesday!

Today: from holiday injury to full recovery

This amazing patient was spending Christmas in Belize when she stepped in a hidden hole and suffered a trimalleolar ankle fracture…a serious injury involving all 3 ankle bones: the medial, lateral, and posterior malleoli.

➡️ Swipe right to see her X-rays:
📸 1: The initial injury (before surgery)
📸 2: 4 months post-op (after surgery)

🔧 Surgical Details:
Performed with the patient prone, using a posterolateral approach between the Achilles and peroneal tendons.

✅ Fixated the posterior malleolus first
✅ Then the fibula
✅ Finished with the medial malleolus
✨ No syndesmotic fixation needed as the posterior fixation of the tibia provided excellent stability.

🩼 Recovery Timeline:
✔️ Non-weight-bearing in a splint, then a boot
✔️ Gradual weight-bearing as tolerated in the boot
✔️ Transitioned into a lace-up ankle brace & tennis shoes
✔️ Completed 6 weeks of PT
💪 Back in sneakers, pain-free, & thriving!

Why this matters:
Complex ankle injuries don’t have to mean a long-term loss of mobility. With expert care and a personalized recovery plan, you can get back to doing what you love.

✨ Get to know Dr. Saucier ✨

Sure, she’s here to help with your foot🦶pain…but she’s also a Star Wars and Harry Potter quote machine, a former D1 soccer goalie ⚽️, and a cat mom 🐱 who makes a from-scratch Bucatini all’Amatriciana 🍝 that could change your life.

She was born in Minnesota, but thriving in Texas. She’s a big traveler ✈️, fitness ju**ie 💪🏼, and a proud nerd 🤓 — because great care comes from being real with your patients.

She’s not just your podiatrist. She’s someone you can actually talk to. (And yes, she may judge you, but only a little, if you say flip-flops count as supportive shoes.)

Welcome back to another Foot Fact Friday!

🦶Today’s fun fact: Your feet grow during the day…literally!

By evening, your feet can swell up to a full shoe size due to gravity, activity, and circulation. That’s why shoe shopping is best done in the afternoon or evening, when your feet are at their largest.

👟 Buying shoes when your feet are smallest (like in the morning) can lead to shoes that feel too tight later on. Can you say “hello blisters, bunions, and foot pain.”

✨So next time you’re out shopping for your new kicks, make sure to do it after 3 or 4 o’clock!

Make sure to stick around for more facts, tips, and surprises every Friday!

✨Welcome to another MythBusters Monday! We’re busting common foot myths and serving up the truth your toes deserve!✨

Myth: “Bunions can only be treated with surgery.”

❌ BUSTED!

While bunions are a structural bony deformity (not just a bump you can “straighten out”), that doesn’t mean surgery is your only option.

Here’s what actually works for conservative bunion care:
- Custom or generic orthotics – help with alignment and take pressure off the joint
- Bunion shields or pads – reduce irritation and friction
- Supportive, wide-toe-box shoes – think tennis shoes or open-toe options that don’t squeeze your forefoot

Fact: Surgery is reserved for severe cases where pain persists or the deformity limits your lifestyle.

✨Bottom line: You’ve got options, and early treatment can go a long way in keeping your feet happy!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. We are forever grateful. ❤️🤍💙

As a foot & ankle specialist, I’m reminded daily how important every step is…but today, we reflect on those who walked a path of selfless service, so the rest of us could move forward in freedom.

May we walk with purpose, stand for what’s right, and never take a single step for granted. 🕊️

Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day.

📸 to those days on the pitch at Texas A&M ⚽️💪🏼

From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Saucier had the incredible opportunity to compete at the highest level of collegiate soccer. During her time at A&M, her team won back-to-back SEC regular season and tournament championships in 2013 & 2014, and made it all the way to the NCAA Final Four in 2014!

What an unforgettable ride with an amazing team that was! Those years taught her grit, discipline, and the importance of keeping her body, especially her feet and ankles, in top shape.

Now, as a foot and ankle specialist in The Woodlands, she brings that same athlete’s mindset to treating foot and ankle conditions in patients of all backgrounds, whether you’re a weekend warrior, a high school standout, or just trying to walk pain-free.

Once an athlete, always an athlete! And Dr. Saucier is here to help you stay active and injury-free! 👟🦶
