Established in 1980, Thibodaux Physical Therapy provides a comprehensive rehabilitation program for its patients. The staff of TPT is concerned about their patient's needs and their desire to successfully reach their rehabilitation goals. The therapists at TPT assist patients in obtaining their desired goals by performing a thorough evaluation and developing a specialized program to meet their ind

ividual needs. TPT uses the most up-to-date concepts in the treatment of injuries, while patients are instructed to actively participate in the rehabilitation process. Patients are given instructions on pain management, proper body mechanics, lifting techniques, and modification of work related tasks.

🌟Neck or Upper Back Pain?🌟

We got you covered!

A lot of factors affect neck and upper back pain including:
💻 Sitting at a computer/desk for prolonged time
🧘‍♀️ Faulty posture throughout the day
🚗 Prolonged positions such as driving
🏋🏻‍♀️ Lifting and overhead activities
🧑‍🍼 Nursing/feeding/carrying little ones
🧹 Repetitive movements (mopping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing)

Just a few examples!

This can cause: impaired/faulty posture, increased stiffness of cervical and thoracic segments, overloading of spinal musculature (too heavy, muscles working harder for longer, and unable to withstand prolonged positions/postures) just to name a few.

Today, one of our Physical Therapist Abbie Torres along with two of our techs Macie Thibodaux and Annabelle Tenney visited Thibodaux High School to educate young female athletes on injury prevention, proper training for sport(s), and opportunities within the healthcare profession!
