This message is to inform you of the steps we are taking due to COVID-19 pandemic. We are asking all patients who think they are sick (fever, cough, shortness of breath, chest pain) or have been around someone who is sick to postpone their dental appointment until further notice. Please let us know if you have recently traveled. If you have a true dental emergency but you suspect that you are sick, please call us to discuss what can be done. For those of you who are not sick and would like to keep your dental appointment, we are here for you. We plan to continue treating our patients until any recommendations for changes to protocol are made. We will limit the number of people in our waiting room and will avoid person to person contact without the necessary protective measures. As always, instruments and handpieces are single use and are autoclaved (sterilized) after each use. All surfaces in treatment rooms are disinfected after each patient. We will be asking all patients to use a pre-procedural hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse that has been shown to reduce the salivary load of oral microbes. Hand sanitizers will also be available throughout in the office. Please know that your safety is our utmost concern and we are taking every measure possible to ensure it. Please do not hesitate to contact us at 449-0611 with any questions (we will not be responding to this post).
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has developed special recommendations for use in dental offices. Your dentist cares about your safety and works hard to prevent the spread of infection.
