This means… we are officially one step closer to receiving our preliminary license! 🎉🔥

We’ve officially kicked off our outdoor practice grow—because there’s no better way to prep for our future license than soaking up that sweet Minnesota sunshine! 💚

We're out here catching rays and refining our cultivation skills. Think of it as summer school for stoners—except the homework is growing beautiful buds and the classroom is our own backyard. 😎🌿

This outdoor season is all about learning, testing, and tuning in to what the plant needs—so when that license lands, we’ll be dialed in and ready to grow the good stuff, the right way. Because let’s be real: practice + sunshine = 🔥 results.

Can cannabis reverse brain aging? Science says it just might.

In a study published in Nature Medicine, researchers at the University of Bonn and The Hebrew University discovered that long-term, low-dose THC improved memory and learning in older mice, restoring cognitive function to levels seen in younger animals.

The THC appeared to stimulate the brain’s endocannabinoid system, which plays a crucial role in maintaining brain plasticity, memory, and mood. These findings suggest potential for cannabis in helping to counteract age-related cognitive decline, and even open the door for treatments targeting conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s.

While more research is needed to understand its full effect in humans, this early evidence is a major step in redefining how we view cannabis and aging.

One Less Thing to Worry About in the Grow Room

At Kush & Koffee, we’re all about finding ways to make life a little easier — and that includes how we take care of our plants. Between juggling licensing, building out the shop, and, you know, trying to sneak in a cup of coffee now and then, having tools that help us work smarter (not harder) is everything.

That’s why we’re loving our new Spider Farmer Gravity-Fed Self-Watering System. It’s a fancy way of saying: no power needed, just a big ol’ water bucket feeding four plant bases like clockwork. 13-gallon reservoir. Set it, forget it. And no stress if we miss a day — our plants are still chillin’, soaking up what they need.

This system gives our babies the hydration they deserve while we handle the rest of the dream — like getting closer to finally opening our doors and bringing the first legal dispensary + edible lounge to Thief River Falls.

Whether you’re growing your own at home or building something big like us, trust: a little upgrade like this makes a big difference.

Hey there, friends! We know it’s been a little quiet on our end lately—winter hit hard, and truthfully, the slow movement from the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) had us feeling a bit blue. But we’re back with updates and big vibes!

Behind the scenes, the Kush & Koffee family has also been on a deeply personal journey—our owners began IVF in February, and now, as May wraps up, we’re nearing the final steps. We’re sending all the baby dust and holding onto hope for the best possible outcome!

Now for the exciting Kush & Koffee news: we just heard from the OCM, and they’ve requested additional info for our license application—which means… we’re still in the running and did not receive a denial! That’s a huge win in this long process and brings us one step closer to finally opening our doors to the community.

Thank you for sticking with us. We’re feeling re-energized and can’t wait to keep sharing more as things unfold!
