Heller Safety Solutions, LLC is a licensed training provider for the American Red Cross and a training center for Safe Sitter, Inc., dedicated to providing personable, affordable safety knowledge to the local community through a conversive, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. Heller Safety Solutions provides CPR, AED, First Aid, Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding Instructor, Water Safety Instruction (WSI), Babysitting, Safe at Home, Grandparents as babysitters, and Basic Life Support (BLS) classes. Classes provide individuals with the opportunity for certification and renewal of current certifications to help maintain workplaces and a safer community.

Last Wednesday, I was at the observation tower at Kuwohi, the highest mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I took this picture thinking it was great that they had an outdoor, accessible AED there. Then I noticed that the AED wasn't in the case. I assumed maybe they took it inside the ranger station when the station closed (it was just after closing when I took this picture.)

Yesterday, the Park put out a post detailing the rescues they have had in the park over the last month. Part of that data showed that they had used the AED that day during a rescue, which is most likely why it wasn't in the case at the time I took the picture.

Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere. This location, being at the top of a mountain with winding narrow roads on the route to it, would have taken professional responders quite a while to get there. Get trained in CPR and AED usage so you can be the best first responder.

I've gotten a lot of requests lately for information on babysitter's training classes. A lot of times, youth in these classes want to sign up with friends/cousins/siblings. Please note that class sizes are limited, so if you are trying to register a group of youth together, make sure to sign up early so they are able to get into the same class together! I have 35 different babysitter's training classes scheduled between now and the end of August, all in the northern Milwaukee suburbs, so message me if you'd like to see a full list of classes and where to register for them.
