NRY Teacher Training Weekend 2 😍

This weekend we started having the crew begin practice teaching in front of our class!

When we first opened, adding anything fitness-y was the furthest thing from our plan.

But, we realized something.

At the end of my classes, I always say, " send a thank you to someone who has supported you somehow lately" & a lot of the time, I'm sending my thank you back to you, the people here that keep showing up 💜

While Nourished Roots Yoga here at 34 Main St is celebrating 2 years, we actually planted our roots here in Thomaston about 6 years ago to 2-3 people on the beach of Black Rock State Park.

Then above Crabby Al's in the art gallery to a group of about 4 that grew to 10-12. We shifted to a church temporarily, then to the gym of Black Rock Elementary with the help of our local Park and Rec.

While our story didn't really start here in this cute little nook next to Red's, it has flourished here 🌱

We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to share space here with you, and look forward to continued growth alongside you 💜

We're celebrating you, Kelly!! 🥳

Kelly joined us last May and has stepped onto her mat with us a little over 100 times !! 🥰

She's not only a student here, but she has recently begun the journey of Yoga Teacher Training with us, taking a deep dive into the practices that support her 💖

Here's what Kelly had to say when we asked her how Yoga has impacted her life:
"Yoga allowed me to find some stillness and peace of mind at a time in my life when I desperately needed it. I honestly didn't think that anything could really remedy what was going on inside my mind and really my spirit, but it allowed me to get on another level with myself. It was just like the perfect storm, and I couldn't be more grateful."

Kelly's been a member with us for almost a year now. We've seen the growth and are grateful to part of her story. We asked her what enjoys most about being a member here :

"I enjoy being a part of the NRY Community because I feel very comfortable here. It could be a little intimidating coming into a new setting and trying something new with a bunch of people you don't know. I am regularly encouraged and supported here, and it's really given me the drive to tackle some amazing things inside and outside of the studio. I've grown so much on a personal and now professional level here."

There's no race or goal, but showing up for yourself is so important, and we love to celebrate your wins with you 💖
