That’s a wrap on Skills Fair 2025! 🙌 Our clinical staff completed their annual competency checkoffs for skills ranging from glucose testing for blood sugar to operating a defibrillator to save a patient's life. 🩺

Skills Fair is an opportunity for our staff to stay up to date on the latest medical practices, procedures, and equipment. The main goal for our medical team is always to keep our patients safe and healthy, and Skills Fair is one way we’re doing just that! ⚕️

Join us in congratulating Christian Blevins, Nursing Technician, on his recent Sunflower Award! The Sunflower Award is a patient-nominated award given to deserving Nursing Technicians who demonstrate a high degree of compassionate care. Christian had seven nominations with patients remarking that he was "very respectful, extremely helpful, engaging in conversation, uplifting, and dedicated." One patient commented, "He held my hand and talked to me, telling me what he was doing and why it was needed, which calmed my nerves. He helped me focus on more than the pain. This kind of compassion is not found every day." Those who know Christian aren't surprised at this recognition! He exemplifies the spirit of Upson Regional Medical Center with his compassionate care every day.

Arkeyviana had greater than 95% of hand hygiene compliance and has demonstrated a commitment to keeping our patients, visitors, and staff safe through her dedication of proper hand hygiene.

Progress continues for Upson Regional Medical Center's construction project to expand our ICU and women's center. Steel beams are nearing completion and the decking is being installed. It's beginning to look like a building! We're excited about what this will mean for the patients we serve!
