I am happy to share that we have moved location to our home studio in Waldoboro with a name change to reflect that 💕Prema's Yoga Studio💕
I'm looking forward to seeing you November 6th for either or both ~ Women's Gentle Yoga @ 4pm & Women's Restorative Yoga w/ the melodic sounds of Crystal Bowls 5:45pm. Both classes are offered through CLC Adult Ed with the links below.

Come Play Yoga with us this Saturday, January 18th @ 9:30a.m. at The Waldoboro Public Library. We will make Reading Come to Life with Yoga and the book A Snowy Owl Story by Maine Author Melissa Kim (of the Maine Audubon) & Maine Illustrator Jada Fitch. Children will engage in Creative Movement, Song, Art, Friendship & FUN!

Our True Self

The True Self is often described as the unchanging essence of who we are beyond our thoughts, emotions, roles, and identities. It is the core of our being that exists before conditioning, beyond the ego, and outside of the stories we tell ourselves about our lives.

In spiritual traditions, the True Self is seen as pure awareness or consciousness, free from the illusions of separation or limitation. It is the silent witness to our experiences, the stillness beneath the chaos, and the spaciousness in which life unfolds.

Discovering the True Self involves peeling away layers of false identities—our attachments to roles, possessions, and societal expectations—and reconnecting with the deeper, infinite nature of our being. This connection brings a sense of peace, authenticity, and freedom, as we no longer seek validation outside of ourselves. Instead, we align with the wisdom and wholeness that has always been within.

The True Self is not something to achieve or create; it is what we already are when we let go of what we are not.

Cultivating joy is an important practice for our emotional well-being and overall happiness. Here are some suggestions on how to cultivate joy in your life:

Practice mindfulness: Being present in the moment can help you appreciate the simple joys in life. They are around us all the time but we often fail to notice them. Practices such as meditation can help you cultivate a sense of peace and joy.

Practice gratitude: Take time each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for. This can help shift your focus from what’s lacking to what you have.

Find activities that bring you joy: Engage in activities that bring you a sense of fulfillment and happiness. Whether it’s painting, hiking, reading, or spending time with loved ones, make time for things that make you happy.

Surround yourself with positivity: Spend time with people who uplift you and make you happy. Cultivating positive relationships can have a significant impact on your overall well-being and joy.

Take care of your physical health: Exercise, eat well, and get enough rest. A healthy body can contribute to a healthy mind and an increased sense of joy.
