🍀 It’s another great day to have a Birthday!!!🍀

Sending out the happiest birthday wishes to our very own Program Manager, Olivia Blevins.

Olivia puts so much time and effort into the base, our crews and the community that it wouldn’t be right to allow the day to go without singing to her, so we did, very early this morning 😂.

Health Fairs? Um yes please!!

Yesterday we had the pleasure to be invited to Gordon State College’s annual health fair.

🏥 Many institutions were present providing an overwhelming amount of needed information and resources to the community. Needless to say we had a blast hanging out with everyone. We are greatly humbled to be included in this community as a resource. 🙏 Thank you to all that came out. We appreciate you. 🏥

❤️‍🩹 🚁 This past week we were delighted to be invited to host a CPR class for the Northside Fire Department. Crews from our base conducted a class while spending time with some of our many partners of the community. We had a great time with everyone who came out and look forward to training with this group in the near future. ❤️ 🚒

🔥 A big thankyou for Northside Fire for having us out we appreciate all that you do!! Fire 🔥

‼️ How far has your swag traveled? ‼️

Good Morning Upson and surrounding counties!

🧳 🐻 Recently one of our crew members traveled out westerly, battling wolfs and bears just to get a picture with the infamous “Old Faithful”. He also packed an authentic AE 185 t-shirt for some quick shots! 🐺 📷 🕺🏻

🚑 While out there Kenneth was able to drop in on the Hebgen fire and EMS district of West Yellowstone Mt. It was a very cool and eye opening visit. Volunteers are a must and stories are told of the heroics the few accomplish with little man power. It was very compelling and humbling to listen to the stories told. Thank you for hosting our guy in such short notice. 🚒

If you have 185 swag, send some pictures of how far it has traveled and the stories behind it! We would love to see it. 🚁 💨

🚨 We have a big congratulations going out to our very own Program Manager, Olivia Blevins!! 🚨

👩‍🎓 Olivia recently applied to the GEMSA Leadership Program and was accepted to attend. 🏫

🚑 This program last a year in length and is highly competitive throughout the state of Ga with limited seats available. The program consists of quartely sessions lasting a week at a time specializing in strategic planning, conflict resolution, and operational leadership. This is completed while utilizing expert led workshops, case studies and networking with county, fire, and professionals across Georgia. 🚁 💨

👩‍🎓 We are extremely excited and proud, here at 185, of Olivia and all she has accomplished within our base and community. 🏥

💃🏻 Good Morning Upson and surrounding counties! Happy Friday! 🕺🏻

🎉 Recently we privileged to entertain a tour of our aircraft to some special guest. A group of exchange nursing students from South Korea were here in the area studying and discussing the applications of nursing at the local hospitals. Upon landing the group took the opportunity to tour and ask questions about operations and how we functioned within the community. 🎉

😌 We were honored to host such guests and always love the opportunity to participate within our community. 🙏

🚁 💨 Recently AE 185 was dispatched to a scene that took multiple entities to make this a successful transport. 🚑 💨

🏥 We greatly appreciate all the help and teamwork that was put into this transport. Communication was key for success in this situation and it went flawlessly. 📻

🏥 🚁 Meet The Crew Monday 🚁 🏥

Good Afternoon Upson and surrounding counties!

Next up, is one of our newest members!!

Meet Flight Nurse, ‼️ Maury Morgan ‼️

🚑 Maury is a local native who started his medical career back in 2014 after earning his EMT and EMT-Advanced certifications. He spent several years riding the ambulance in Pike County, Taylor County, and with Community Ambulance before deciding to take the next step and pursue nursing. 👨‍⚕️

🏥 In 2018, Maury graduated from Gordon College and State University’s nursing program with his ADN and later earned his BSN. He went on to work in the Emergency Department at Upson Regional Medical Center, where he made a big impact on both patients and coworkers. During his time there, Maury served as a Charge Nurse, sharpening his leadership, time-management, and teamwork skills.

Eventually, Maury heard the call of the rotor
🚁 💨 and chased his goal of becoming a flight nurse—one he’s proudly achieved.

🕺🏻 ✨ When he’s not being a total rock-star nurse, Maury enjoys spending time with his wife and little one. On his days off, you’ll likely find him cooking, competitive shooting, or camping. 🏕️

We’re excited to have Maury on the team and grateful for the experience he brings with him. When you see him around (and you will), be sure to give him a high-five and compliment that legendary mustache! 😄
